But this is not your normal Heartless fare. Oh no. Because you see, this Heartless has filial wings.

And if you attack him he will probably run.

[ Yes that will help but Repliku is still going to feel awkward as all hell.

And not being able to say anything won't make matters any better. He hunches down a little but doesn't otherwise move. Nonthreatening, let's do nonthreatening, do not want to be attacked when he has no idea how some of his powers work. ]

[Ted raises an eyebrow. Huh. New Feather...? No, he should either assume it's a resident or one of the monsters running around. The latter is easier, but if he were a resident, either Ted has never seen him this whole time, or this is the result of something else.] Hey, I'm not going to hurt you. Don't worry about it.

[ Okay. That's a bit better. But it doesn't quell his unease very much, as Repliku is still entirely unused to this body. He tilts his head a little, but stays low to the ground. ]

[Ted watches it for a moment, before looking around to see if anyone's watching. Once he's sure no one is, he takes a seat on the ground, rummaging through the bag he's taken to bringing everywhere lately. Let's seeeee~]

[...see, if it hadn't been for the wings? Kairi probably would have attacked the Heartless with the training sword she had "borrowed" from the barracks. However, it's because of the wings that she pauses just to stare. So what, did her friends get taken by the darkness again and nobody told her? Jeeze. She's not going to approach, hell no, but she's not going to attack either.]

[ Just hearing that much is enough to make him freeze. He turns slowly, fearing the worst, and...

His relief is quickly cut off by some feeling, something he's never felt before. An urge that's stuck in a strange position between elation and panic. It's a feeling that isn't his own, but something is driving him towards Kairi, and at the same time, makes him want to run away and never look back at her.

Repliku instead freezes, fighting hard against the instinct to just do something. He's not quite sure he'll like what will happen if he gives in to it. ]

[...huh. So it can hear her, good to know. Kairi starts to approach slowly, still keeping the sword drawn and at the ready.]

Hey...um. You...are you--[She's not quite sure how to phrase her question as she continues moving in closer, waiting to see if the little guy's going to attack or run away.]

[ His gaze falls to the sword, and as she approaches, he backs up slowly. Awkwardly, since he's still not used to being a Heartless, but they never were very graceful creatures in the first place. ]

[Why are you--oh. Oh, right. She holds the sword away so it won't hit the Heartless, but she's definitely not letting go of it either. She pauses for a moment to analyze this, thinking of the people she knows that have become Heartless. Well, the first one that comes to mind?]

[ He's still going to be cautious... Kairi knows enough about Heartless to know that they're usually creatures to be destroyed, Repliku's aware of this. He backs up a little more, and pauses himself after she asks the question.

After a moment of trying to decide what to do, he slowly shakes his head. Not Sora. ]

[ Xion's just tired after all this fighting, bow and nearly-empty quiver slung over her shoulder as she cautiously makes her way through town.

But when she spots that Heartless, she almost has a heart attack, drawing an arrow out before she can even stop to think. She almost nocks it, until she notices the wings.

She recognizes those wings and drops her arrow in shock. ]

[ The sound of the arrow hitting the ground catches his attention. He turns, and when he spots Xion, freezes.

Of all the people he didn't want to run into. ]

[ her hands go over her mouth as her eyes go slowly wide with shock, horror, and recognition.

she lowers her hands only to whisper: ]

[ At the sound of his name, he startles and backs away from her a little. He's not sure how he wanted Xion to find out, but he's still trying to figure out things himself; he didn't want her to see him just yet. But, well, kind of late for that, isn't it? ]
