[Shaking his head -- oh, he shouldn't do that, it makes everything worse. Slowly this time, he gets to his feet and manages to stand up straight.]

I'll be fine! I just need to walk a little and I shouldn't fall over again.

[...or, you know, just think of this way: at least the snow can break his fall better than a hardwood floor.]

[He complies so easily -- and then goes ahead and leans on Kohan a little as they walk. Not so much that Kohan should have to worry about him being weighed down, but enough that he's able to walk a little straighter.]

[And Ion tries to pull away and take a step back and finds that hey, he can't either!]

This... isn't funny. [ No seriously, what is this. Kohan looks down at the ground, trying to see if there's something there. ]

Is this part of the whole Christmas thing? I haven't seen this happen before.

[And while Kohan is looking down, Ion will be looking up... and noticing a rather interesting looking decoration hanging over them. There was nothing else around it, making it stand out just a bit.]

[And strangely enough, it seemed like one of those little elves was sitting on a ledge above it, adjusting a bow that held the branches in place.]

Do you know what that is? [Pointing up.]

[ He looks up to Ion, then looks up where Ion is pointing.

You can practically hear the dread in his voice as he says the next line. ]

I think that's mistletoe.

Mistletoe?

[Wait.]

[Wait. Wait, he's read about this! Mistletoe, something that couples do underneath it, and Christmas--]

You... don't think...

... I'm just not going to say what I think. [ But he'll say that he won't say what he thinks because slightly drunk. ]

Come on, let's see if we can find some way out.

Uhm... all right. [And just... gonna glance around now. He can't move his legs, and he can't really get any further away from Kohan than he is right now. And given he was just leaning on Kohan for support? He's pretty darn close!]

[In fact, he feels like he's only just now registering how close they were standing to each other. Here they were, standing right by the door, and sooner or later people were going to notice that they weren't moving apart.]

Maybe we could try taking it down? I don't think I can't reach it, but...

So he will reach up and try to grab the mistletoe. Unfortunately for the both of them, Seventh Heaven does not have a particularly low ceiling.

It's a couple of seconds and one dangerous sway later when Kohan gives up. ]

... I don't think I could reach it even if I could jump.

[A-Ah, don't fall now, bro! With their legs stuck to the ground, who knows what would happen if they lost their balance? Would their legs just give out on them? What a terrible thought. It's enough to prompt Ion into reaching over to hold Kohan steady -- just in case, of course.]

[Though who's to say he couldn't use the help balancing himself.]

[ look back down at Ion and find him staring and promptly lose that train of thought. ]

[He doesn't really know where his own thoughts are right now. And if he was sober, perhaps this thought wouldn't have even crossed his mind.]

[But here it was, and with each passing second he could feel his face growing hotter and his mind growing heavy, as though he could just curl up somewhere and fall asleep right now.]

[He still hasn't pulled his hands away, clinging slightly to Kohan's shirt. It's a good thing he's talking somewhat slowly, or the slur in his words might make them hard to decipher.]

...it's... what people are supposed to do under mistletoe... right?

... yeah... [ Ion feels so warm against him, and the world is getting fuzzy at the edges. Kohan swallows thickly and tries to look to the side, but it doesn't even take a second before his gaze is drifting back. ]

And we only have to... try it once, if it doesn't work...

[ He. might. be leaning in here. ]

[Kohan may look away, but Ion just can't bring himself to. He doesn't know what it is -- maybe the alcohol is just getting to him, or maybe it's the feeling of Kohan's body against his own. But in this moment, right now, suddenly all he can think about is that week nearly a year ago where he spent a great deal of time being this close to Kohan.]

[And there's only one thing he can think of doing in a situation like this. His body moves almost without realizing it, and soon he has one hand on Kohan's chest and another at his shoulder.]



Well, in that case... we'd just have to try again.

[There's no waiting for a reply. In an instant, he's leaning up and pressing his lips against Kohan's -- impulsive and impatient.]

[And it's probably a good thing they're so close to a wall, because Ion isn't taking much consideration into where gravity will take him once they're freed from the mistletoe's grasp.]

[ Good indeed. Because Kohan here was expecting a semi-awkward "we both slowly lean in until we're kissing" thing. Suddenly having Ion's body against him, an unexpected freeing of his feet, and slightly lagging reaction times combine to send him stumbling backwards until his back hits the wall. Rather than flailing, his instinct is to grab Ion, and whether it was thanks to the kiss or out of intention to make sure Ion didn't fall his brain is not up to figuring out. So here he is, back pressed to the wall and holding Ion against him, and kissing, almost exactly like he remembers from the last time he and Ion kissed despite how long ago that was.

Was this a smart idea? Probably not. Was Kohan considering that right now? Hell no. ]

[So Luke was just thinking he'd go to Seventh Heaven to get some quality food to eat when

suddenly

A WILD MAKE OUT APPEARS

Luke very nearly trips over his own feet once he sees it, and he gapes open mouthed at the sight. It's part the fact that oh god, he just walked in on two people making out, and part IS THAT ION PRESSING KOHAN AGAINST A WALL??

He makes a very quiet noise as he lifts a hand, as if to say something but having his voice get caught in his throat, then glances away, his hand lowering awkwardly...

And then just walks right back out at a fast pace, and makes sure to slam that door shut behind him.

Just. Nope. Nope nope nope.]
