[ Yeah okay Ion that didn't help. Now he's got a bigger problem.

[Yes, they make it without incident! And it just so happens that CH4 has tons of empty rooms, fully furnished and everything for them to make use of.]

[And of course, once they find a room, Ion makes sure to lock the door behind them. But even though it was his suggestion to come here, now that they're actually here, he can't help but start to feel nervous.]

...so, should we find the bedroom then?

[ Oh geeze why are they here why are they doing this are they actually gonna-- ]

Yeah. I mean... probably, yeah. If we're going to...

[He takes a steading breath before grabbing Kohan by the hand again, slowly leading him back to the bedroom, again closing the door behind them. Just as he thought, the room was already furnished with pillows and blankets and fresh sheets and--]

[It was starting to get just a little overwhelming. Ion was sure that his body wanted to do this and something in the back of his mind is telling him that they need to at least try and figure out Kohan's problem. They didn't need to do anything tonight, but if it did turn out that Kohan wasn't attracted to Ion that way... well, they'd have to figure something out for the future.]

[He gives Kohan's hands a gentle squeeze, looking up at him again for a few moments before looking down -- and then just blushing even more.]

So... how should we do this?

[ Ion do you really think he has an idea how this goes.

Just being in the bedroom is making his heart beat faster and blood rush to his face, though. ]

You said earlier... something about doing what we did in the hot springs?

[In a sexy way is not exactly in Ion's vocabulary, but given the context, hopefully it's implied. Either way, that meant Ion was the one who needed to do something.]






[He might need a moment.]

[But eventually he pulls his hand away and takes a step back, moving to start taking off his top.]

[But he doesn't even get it up over his stomach before becoming very aware that Kohan is right there and can see him. So he turns around and starts to pull it off.]

[But then he remembers the scar on his back and freezes up, pulling it back down and turning around to face Kohan again. Only now he's even more embarrassed than before -- even his wings are starting to flutter a bit.]

...would you mind... just looking away for a moment?

[ Kohan is not... entirely sure what to make of the request, but he flushes and turns around anyway. ]

S-sure... take your time.

[ They are the most awkward. ]

[HE JUST NEEDS A MOMENT okay. Once he gets his shirt off, it'll probably be a little easier. After all, as embarrassed as he was about stripping down to nothing in front of Kohan, in truth he was really more worried about showing his scar. The only time Kohan saw it, he seemed bothered by it...]

[But if they were going to do this, he needed to take if off. So, with Kohan looking away, he quickly takes off his shirt and then (carefully folds it and) puts it on the ground. Of course, without the flowing layers of the tunic he was wearing, it's pretty easy to see that Ion has the same issue Kohan does -- perhaps even more so, given how tight those leggings were.]

Why wouldn't I want to?

[ Said as he turns back around, and... right, boners. If it's any consolation, Kohan notices that before the scars, and even with all the awkwardness between him, it's not exactly causing his own problem to go away.

Which means he's glancing awkwardly upwards, then down at the ground. It's not you, Ion, it's him. ]

... Now what do you think we should do?

[The moment Kohan looks over, Ion's gaze falls to the ground, his face blushing even brighter than before, knowing that Kohan is looking at him like this. Thankfully, he misses Kohan likewise averting his gaze -- he wouldn't know what to think of that if he saw it.]

[Ion doesn't know exactly how to answer that question -- well, he doesn't know what to say to it, at least. He's still not exactly undressed, after all. But--]

...it's embarrassing being the only one getting undressed right now. Maybe... you could take something off too?

[Really, it's a wonder they even got to the room at all with all the tension between them right now.]

[ Yeah, how did they even-- ]

--oh, right. Yeah, I guess you have a point...

[ Meanwhile, Kohan really doesn't have much of a problem taking his own shirt off, so perhaps a bit hurriedly he removes his own. ]

Is... that better?

[Oh, it's better. Ion manages to tear his gaze away from the floor to look up just as Kohan as taking off his shirt. And now he can't possibly think of looking away. It's not as though he hasn't seen Kohan without a shirt on before, but in a situation like this...]

[Without even thinking about what he's doing, Ion takes a few steps close to effectively close the gap between the two of them. Though he remembers to lay his wings flat against his back so as to minimize Kohan's view of his scar when looking down. And then, slowly, he reaches up and rests a hand on Kohan's chest, smoothing up to his shoulder while his other hand moves to take hold of Kohan's.]

[ Kohan doesn't feel like it's any less awkward himself, but if he's helping Ion, that's good enough.

But the touches on his chest are... kinda nice, and he grips Ion's hand. He looks down for a few seconds, but then he catches sight of the scar, and self-consciously averts his eyes to the side. He's not sure what he should be doing with his free hand, so after a few seconds, he puts it on Ion's shoulder and starts slowly rubbing with his thumb.

At least, he can't say he minds the contact at all. ]

[This time Ion catches him looking away, and it only takes one guess to figure out why.]

[He takes a moment or so to consider before gently pulling his hand away and taking hold of the hand Kohan had set on his shoulder. Then, with only a brief hesitance, he moves Kohan's hand over to his other, scarred shoulder, before letting his wings move down in a more natural position.]

[His heart is beating faster in his chest, somehow feeling more tense doing this than he had when he was trying to undress before. But it was something he needed to get over -- and he never would if he just kept pushing the problem away.]

[Right now, his desire to share this intimate moment with Kohan was stronger than his fear of confronting his trauma.]

[ Kohan startles when Ion puts his hand on the scar. ]

It... doesn't hurt, does it?

[ Because if Ion wants him to touch it, he will, but... he doesn't want to hurt Ion. And not having any scars even close in severity to the one Ion has, he doesn't really have any idea how it feels when it's touched. ]

[He shakes his head.] My back gets sore sometimes, but it doesn't hurt. It looks worse than it really is.

[He tightens his grip on Kohan's hand at his side, taking a deep breath to keep himself calm. He doesn't have to think about that right now. He has Kohan here. He's safe.]

[And really, despite his apprehension, he feels safe.]

[Leaning up on the tips of his toes, he rests his free hand on Kohan's shoulder to try and pull him down a bit for a kiss.]

[ Oh. Well a kiss is perfectly okay. So Ion might find that pulling Kohan down for one will work just fine.

He's still not sure what to do about the scar, so he leaves his hand where it is and grips back. Tentatively, he starts running his fingers along Ion's skin. His touch is light, still worried about hurting Ion despite the assurances. But he does start gently touching the scar, seeing if it feels different from the skin around it. ]

[The area with the scar has a different texture than the skin around it, and the muscle is certainly more tense than his other shoulder. But he doesn't flinch or pull away from his touch. And once they're kissing again, Ion finds it's much easier to just forget about it right now and focus on Kohan instead.]

[But Ion knew before they could really move on to anything more, they still needed to find an answer for Kohan. Getting past his own insecurities was just one step. But seeing as how it's just so nice standing here and kissing Kohan, he decides to test the waters a bit and pull his body up against Kohan's, paying particular attention to where their hips meet. Even through all the earlier embarrassment, Ion was still noticeably hard.]

[ But we were having such a nice time keeping everything above the waist 8(

Kohan, too, was finding it easier to forget, but not about scars. No, Kohan had forgotten about his insecurities and why they were here in the first place.

So when Ion presses against him and reminds him about exactly where they're planning on heading tonight, Kohan responds with all the grace and dignity of a teenage boy caught off-guard with a boner and no shirt.

He gives a high-pitched noise of surprise that, when filtered through the kiss, sounds a lot like a squeak. ]

[The squeak is enough to make Ion pull back, through perhaps just a bit too quickly and he nearly loses his balance. He catches himself quickly enough though and looks back up at Kohan somewhat sheepishly.]

I'm sorry, was that... too much?

No, I just... got caught by surprise. ... Sorry.

[ He takes a deep breath and gives a small squeeze to Ion's hand. ]

How are you doing?

[ Kohan you're the one who's more uncomfortable with stuff here. ]

I'm fine, but... is this making you uncomfortable? I want to know how you really feel, so please don't push yourself.

[The last thing he wants is for Kohan to do something that would only repulse him or make him uncomfortable. That was why they were here, after all -- and if it did turn out that Kohan wasn't attracted to him like that, Ion wouldn't bring it up again.]

[...of course, that'd probably be easier said than done at some point, but right now that's not what he's concerned about.]

I... [ He hesitates, but after a couple seconds, he realizes that was a terrible place to leave Ion hanging. ] I really don't know. I think... I'm still getting hung up on something.

[Definitely the worst place he could have paused, yeah. But even his eventual answer leaves much to be desired. He can't exactly blame Kohan, since he knows he's not feeling this way on purpose, but he's starting to feel at a loss here.]

Well, so far every time you've reacted like that has been when my...

[He doesn't finish that sentence -- his eyes trail downward and there's hardly a need to when it's pretty obvious what he's referring to.]
